Even though Gilman is a small town, the know-your-neighbors atmosphere is ideal for permanent residence or weekend retreats. There are many residential lots in town with sewer and water hook-up available, and two community-owned mobile home parks with space available.

Local housing facilities include the Davlin Village Apartments for senior citizens and the Riverwood Apartments for low-income families.

For more information on buying, selling, renting, or building a home in the area contact a local realtor.

Additionally, the Village of Gilman has two housing programs that are meant to assist low -moderate income (LMI) individuals and families:

  1. Trailer courts are owned and managed by the Village of Gilman. People may apply at the Village Clerk's Office for moving a trailer / mobile home into the trailer courts. A credit check is completed and an up front deposit is required. Please call the Village Clerk's Office with any questions at (715) 447-8650.
  2. Revolving Loan Program is administered by the Village of Gilman utilizing funds that come back to the Village from paid off mortgages from the 1986 HUD Housing Grant. These funds are available on an income eligible basis. Applications may be obtained in the Village Clerk's Office at (715) 447-8650.

Housing Information can be obtained by contacting the Village Clerk's Office. We may be able to advise of houses for sale or for rent or direct interested clients to others who may help them.
